Sorry about your ride, man. But there might be an upside to that...

Is your freezer now very very full of incautious ungulate? Will there be aerodynamically dubious but otherwise totally appropriate antlers gracing the nose of your car?

Hey everyone! Yes, I am okay I was shaken up last night and not the happiest person in the world, for sure. The car is damaged pretty good on the front and passenger front quarter panel.

Pics of the carnage:

The deer and the accident scene:

I was going between 40-43 mph during a EOnC down a small hill. It was foggy and in a creek bottom, surrounded by picked corn fields on both sides. From the impact spot, I measured that the doe was thrown 75-80 feet from the impact.

The car can be repaired. There is no frame damage, I would have to replace the plastic bumper and front panel, maybe the hood too. Also all the headlight and marker assemblies.

Funny thing is that both my HID bulbs work despite the destruction around them

That's good to hear. Most deer/car collisions result in a broken windshield, and that is what I was expecting to see. Very glad you weren't hurt. Too bad you didn't get to keep the deer...we can do that down here as it's legal.

True! I am fortunate that the deer was running and was low to the ground.

I wanted too, but I didn't go back last night and get it. I was expecting the coyotes to pick it clean before this morning. Bad thing is she looked to be pregnant so this was possibly a triple kill, definitely a double.

Wait, isn't that more points? I have to joke with this... keeps my spirits up

In TN we have a grille-to-grill law too. You hit it, you can eat it.

Sucks that it messed up your fender. That's sheetmetal work and I have no advice of any kind there. But your bumper and other front end parts, that looks like it should be a simple replacement after a quick trip to the junkyard.

+1 on not losing your windshield.

That will be interesting when the wolves come into town... not good interesting either

I've talked with both Ty and Will (WonderBoy) recently. Ty will be sending the parts needed soon, and Will's CRXfi will be mine soon as well

I have repaired the damage on the car, sort of. The fender has been pulled out some, with the bumper cover wired in place and duct tape covering the bare spots. I also bought clear tape to protect my HIDs from rain and dirt. You would think that aero would suffer, and it has slightly. I have not let that stop me inmy quest to keep my mpgs high. These have been recent trips:

And

Tank mpg is around 45-48 still
