disqualified but still cheap Honda Fit

This is the car I'd actually go look at if I hadn't already bought Mirage #2...

'09 Fit 5-speed as-is special traded in at the local Honda dealer.

215k km = 134k miles. Clean Carfax report - no accidents

But they're asking !2500, so it's AN IMPOSTER in this thread!

5 lug Civic Hybrid wheels on the Fit's stock 4-lug wheel setup? Or am I missing something here?

Those are similar to the Honda Civic hybrid wheels (15") but with 4100mm pattern instead of 5x114.3mm. I believe they were exclusive to the Canadian market. Nice alternative if you can't find the Gen1 insight wheels for better aero.

There's a story behind those wheels:

Both the 5-speed Fit and the 5-speed (non-hybrid) Civic of that era got those wheels and a couple of other ecomods as a result of a federal fuel-efficient vehicle rebate program that was put in place at the time.

Initially, both the Fit & Civic just missed the threshold (based on combined fuel economy rating) to qualify for the rebate, so Honda Canada made a number of small changes that boosted MPG enough to get the cash.

The automatic Fit & Civic were too far from the threshold, so they didn't bother doing the mods to those cars.

That's Spanish for "it doesn't have a title".

How hard is it to get a title?

The first car I ever bought had no ownership papers - I had to get a notarized document, but it wasn't too complicated.
