Wow, that thing is in great shape for an 84'. I think it actually looks better without the bumpers too.

That looks like 59k from the one picture and the description, but if you get me the VIN if you're interested I'll see what I can find.

Well looks like almost all the cars I posted the owners only had the cars for a month or two, and some for only about a week! That's a BIG red flag when owners haven't had the car very long, (less than a year). And looks like the ones posted now it's the same story BTW, saw this on the news program a few days ago..........

(hope this works)

The Tercels are a little compelling to me. Have an unreasonable soft spot for Tercels, dunno why.

If the hard cap on the budget was $1500, that $550 leaves a lot of room for getting the interior into presentable condition.

Seeing this 1980 Rabbit brings back memories. I bought, new, a 1978 Rabbit diesel to commute to and from grad school. I drove it home from the dealer and it was so noisy, diesel clang, that I took it back to the dealer. They said, "We don't normally take cars back." I said, "I don't normally bring cars back. But, you will this time because now you can sell it with no problem as the cars are all back ordered. They took back the Rabbit and gave me my old 71 Dodge Polara (318) and my money back.

My consideration for the diesel Rabbits is two-fold: 35+ mpg and burning waste motor oil means driving for CHEAP

In the last few months I owned a Diesel Rabbit I used to kill the engine and let it glide to whatever parking spot was easily accessible near the destination, or just parked it one street short.
With almost 250,000 miles on the tach it revealed those vices with a vengeance.
It had a black tail, I had a red head .
