When they can get the charge time down to 10 minutes I'm in on electric vehicles. Until then I'm in on fracking and cheap gas.

After that Zap PU, microcars or 3-wheelers disappeared except for 1 Elf and 1 Zap PU that has been for sale in Craigslist for years. No local trike sales that I know of. Might be able to mail-order a Chinese Elio copy sooner than you think!

Sounds like you're a candidate for swapable battery packs. How about a Meyers Manx with Volt packs slung like saddle bags between the front and rear wheels?
Edit: 30-second pit stops?
Fracking is a money losing proposition. Why not solar roadways with inductive charging?

...because: (1) cloudy days happen, and (2) the "Inverse-Square Law" limits of inductive coupling.

You'd think that the Chinese would have already jumped on this by now. Their market for a small efficient inexpensive car is much bigger!

I think the Chinese know as soon as they do it the US Federal government will move to close the loophole. If a US company does it first and is employing 1000s doing it they will he slower to react.

They've sold 65 million Honda Cubs worldwide since 1959. I got 170 mpg on mine (1965 model, 51 years old). Paul Mollar-Elio is just fishing for suckers.
