Anyone wants a public offering!?
"...besieged automaker looking to raise $100 million. The company is delayed when it expects to produce and deliver their first vehicles by...2019."

At a penny per share, I could go for 100 shares. I can afford that. It's cheaper than a lottery ticket and the certificate would be a conversation starter...

Our Arizona Lottery slogan is: "...You can't win if you don't play." to which I reply: "You can't loose if you don't contribute to the sucker pool."

I guess there's another season of GoT. Winter's taking too long.

I wonder how different things would be if they'd focused on releasing it as a kit car with no engine or used an off-the-shelf engine instead of/before developing their own.

I have maintained that they should have done that all along, at least to generate some funds. I'd love to plunk one of the Elio engines into an old Geo Metro convertible and see how well it does.

More like plunk a G10 into an Elio chassis. Or better yet a kei car 660cc unit.

Bill, is your next project shoehorning a Prius drivetrain into a Metro?
Had you decided to make a trike instead of your Firebrid, how far would you have been by now?

Something nice about the Elio is that nearly everything between a 300cc single-cylinder to any inline-3 up to 1200cc would be a good match. But anyway, I'd probably be more willing to try that Honda NC750 inline-2 instead of the inline-3 ones fitted to modern kei cars, in an attempt to decrease friction and pumping losses.
