Our Soldiers preferred the 320 to the 203.
We had Soldiers with shotguns in Afghanistan. They looked very lightweight.
At least I was not carrying a 240.

Maybe with a phaseout of California standards in favor of a nationwide rule, it will actually become more inviting for some manufacturers currently not selling in the USA to enter the market.

But anyway, the existence of the so-called "Prius Patriots" who switched to hybrids because they see it as a way to decrease America's dependence on oil sourced from war-torn countries often hostile to American people in general might be a sign that it's challenging but not impossible to change the mindset of a large chunk of the new-car customer base.

Have you ever watched a British documentary titled "Brazil: Beyond the Citizen Kane"? Even though it has a leftie bias and has been released at least 25 years ago, its accuracy to this day is frightening to say the least...
Since the United States doesn't really have a 'culture',and little boys want to be like men,Madison Avenue and Hollywood is poised to step in and tell little boys what to do to become a man. That's a ripe field for mischief!
Since we don't have education, schools aren't much help.Parents can't help since they didn't get an education either.Relatives and peers are in the same boat.I don't see faith-based organizations stepping up to the plate (their own pension fund investment portfolios have been full of Madison Avenue-related entities).Since commercial broadcast networks are beholden to advertisers for their revenue, they're not allowed to educate, since they'd,by default,be turning on their advertisers (a quick trip into bankruptcy). The federal government has tried in the past, only to have appointed officials censor them, then defund them, defenestrate them, and them ultimately dissolve the committee trying to help.
We end up influenced by Bullet,The Fall Guy,Smoky and the Bandit,The Dukes of Hazard,The Rockford Files,Miami Vice,Magnum P.I.,NHRA, ,INDYCAR,NASCAR,Monster trucks,drift-racing,...................................... it goes on and on.
I have seen Brazil, twice. It was a long time ago.I can only recall being disturbed.

Nowadays, it's the Ultra-right, decrying it as a globalist-leftist conspiracy to weaken American industrial might.

I chortle at that abrupt about-face.
For me,I probably began my descent in grade school,in the late 1950s,when the radio reported on Roger Revelle's research from Mauna Loa,Hawaii.
In college,a 1974 text on internal combustion and air pollution addressed global warming/carbon dioxide.
We'd already been through the October 23,1973 Arab Oil Embargo (energy crisis).
An influential engineering professor of mine,Dr.Koe,instructed us such, that our mission as future engineers, was to do the most with the least. And that engineers always got the s..t jobs.
I went to college to understand fuel economy and pollution.
Those who believe in left-wing conspiracies will get a lot of positive reinforcement. If I were them I'd be doing exactly as they are.
The 1st Amendment is protected here, and given a certain context, you can see a coherent logic within many arguments against climate change. And there are hundreds of billions of dollars in investments riding on policy decisions. You'd expect people to defend their income and those of shareholders whom are invested.
It's a very interesting time to be around. And comical.

Seems to be about word-smithing,precision,or intentional ambiguity,so as to allow for 'interpretation'.
I'm presuming that there are protocols, conventions, and if you're going to overturn a prior ruling, that it will require some serious work.
If it can be done 'legally',then it will be what it will be.
The movie, 'The Rainmaker,' is a layman's look into some of the inner workings of the system. The Merchant of Venice is my favorite.I rooted for Shylock.
Keep your eyes on Juliana v. U.S. this November I think it is.

Probably not the Brazil we discussed in permalink #104-106.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazil_(1985_film)

All I remember is the honkin' big truck Jill uses to rescue him at the end (or so he thought).

Didn't even know about this movie, but it might be quite disturbing to say the least.
