It may be "one click away," but beaded lineal feet doesn't mean anything to me.

Why not? The description is all there. Some math can get you sq. ft. or cu. ft., whatever you want.

hi I have been reading up on your post and I have a 87 crx hf all stock and it runs the cooling fan a lot it has a half to 1/4 sized radiator mine had ac stock and it has the condensor and it is more than twice the size of the radiator I noticed in your photos that the left side has the original ultralight hf alloys let me know if you want to trade for a matched set of steelies with center caps some one stole one of my originals out of the back and the other front one is a little square, my crx is also carbed and i get a average of 48 mpg mostly city free way 10 mile hops it is missing lowest front air dam and the front nose piece is all cracked and tyed on with a boot lace and it flaps but is the twin in color,, yea my engine is using a little oil and I really baby it on take off so as not to atract attention to the mesquetto killing will eventually try to find a tdi vw front drive train the are pricey though . I am curious if you have wieghed it sense all your mods
seems like it has a stock curb wieght of 1780lbs with the alloys mine has I have been looking for about 6 months for a rear wrecked 5spd tdi I have always thought about finding a rear wrecked crx hf and doing a 3 wheeler boat tail would have to be pretty long unless you narrowed the original cab but that is lots of timer and money Great effort, lol

There are a set of CRX wheels, they're magnesium, 13x5 I believe, and are mostly aero, except 4 slots placed symmetrically around them. I have a set of them, and I believe they're about 8-10 lbs a piece... I put them on my old race car, and it made a dramatic difference from the steel 13's I had.

The 1986 CRX Si came with 14" alloy wheels, they looked like buttons, even though they were commonly referred to as "phonedials". They were also pretty light.

If you're into aftermarket, and you want to run 15's, you can get a set of Motegi TrakLite rims, or TrakLite 2.0's... both are under 13 lbs per wheel, but they're not aero at all. They chop through air like a helichopper rotor would. There is no point in getting those if you're just going to cover them with something to make them aero, so in all honesty, google "phone dial rims" and look at those pics... those are probably something you want... there are only 4 tapered holes, symmetrically placed with a 2-sided bias, and they're still really light, as mentioned before.

As far as filling window gaps, or sealing windows/headlights, get 3M Windo-Weld. It's black silicone based goop that some places use to install windshields. I personally use it (along with many other people) to fill the gaps in motor mounts to stiffen them up. (We're cheap). Although I've also used it to seal windows and Lexan panels, and fill in seams in vehicle sheet metal.

the Rota Slipstream in a 15X6.5 weighs in at 11.9lbs and will cost a fraction of what you'd pay for any Motegi wheel..

I have the 16x7 0n my truck and those come in at 13.9lbs
and cost me less than $500 bucks.. (bought about a year ago)

lots of colors available and a classic 5 spoke wheel..

I think the motegi's are about $200 each from Sears... that's including a huge mark-up. You can probably find them used for as little as $400 a set, with decent tires.

Either way, they're still not exactly aero-designed, nor are the Rota slips... in fact, the Rotas are basically cheap rip-offs of JDM wheel designs... that's what the company does lol. There are several companies that copy OEM wheel designs from sportier cars, and make them available for standard, crappy, "why'd you do that?" cars.

I personally would rather have the CRX 13's or 14's, or the HX wheels, which also are not very aero-designed. 13 and 14 inch tires can usually be had very cheaply, if not free, if you don't mind using someone else's take offs. I always get used tires... one of the ways I save money.
