I wouldn't complain if it was given to me. Seriously no complaints. Feel free to ship it on over. I'm waiting.... anyone? Bueller?

Neither would I. Actually, I've been daydreaming about getting a RHD Kombi for some time, and this one being more than 30-year old it could be legally registered as a collector's item and be granted the right to remain RHD in my country...

This one is a trick picture. Most would not get why this qualifys to be in a VW topic. But the truth is that its very common for homemade airplanes to use aircooled VW power. Some of these I know for a fact have VW power.

Reuter-bodied Beetle, the 52nd ever, surfaces in Lithuania and receives full restoration:
Just A Car Guy: From a field in Lithuania, came a rare prototype VW that most people would ignore and not recognize as significant... the 1938 body was the 52nd, which was manufactured by Reuter for Porsche... and it got resurrected (thanks Snoopy!)
The second Type II ever, headed for a full restoration:
Just A Car Guy: the 2nd Samba (VW micro bus / Type 2) ever made, and the oldest one existing, was found in the German mountains, in a field, and their really isn't a lot left of it. But, it's getting a complete rebuild

Guns, Oil, & Dirt
I've never seen a curved pop-out before, I wonder how it does in the rain.

I don't believe it would pose any additional problem compared to a flat windshield.
