not suprising, the flatfour issa versatile engine. And with the typical mild-cam, they are fairly reliable with regular service. Though they hold up pretty well under abuse too, if you just dont let it run lean

The 36hp was legendary. Cylinder #3 was the weak link. I ponder what one could do with a 3D scan of that cast aluminum lower shroud and a printer.

The windscreen I sketched out at Permalink #455 is in progress. I mocked it up first with PVC pipe to get the dimensions. Then I tried strips of redwood. Better, but the third attempt is curved metal strips intended for putting 1 1/2" radius edges on sheet rock.

I'll cover it with 4mm poly for photos. Ultimately it should be Lexan or rusty perf metal with a flip-down hatch like a scout car.
