Would you expect perfection from a graffiti? They're usually as disproportionate as satirical cartoons.

Strange, my first thought was a neck stretched by stacking brass rings around it. As is custom in some parts. I still think it's a bad knock-off of Nefertitti's bust.
But — two* one posts with no Volkswagens?

I don't see too many Saveiros with this most recent facelift.

The ones I didn't know: - 3 —Ford turned down the whole thing, for free
- 4 —2008 Porsche tries to take over VW, bumps their stock, and in 2009 VW did a reverse takeover
- 5 —1955 23-window, w/ 6K miles, auctions for $235,000 in Germany in 2014 (Nice interior!)
- 9 —Volkswagen own Scania and MAN
- 10 —Under a war-time economy VW employed 15,000 slave laborers.
- 11 —in 1973 VW was fined by the EPA for emissions defeat devices (sound familiar?)
- 12 —For one day in 2008 VW was worth more than Apple and Exxon and everyone else in the world (US$343 billion)
- 13 —2002 Nardo Concept World record 9809 miles at 200mph.
- 14 —Chris Pratt restored his own 1965 Beetle.
- 15 — In Australia in April 2000, 25 people set a Guinness World Record for the least air inside a VW Beetle.

Recently I've seen many Transporter panel vans (it's hard to not call them simply Kombi as I've always been used to do) being turned into "beer trucks", pics to come.

Those I actually knew. Volkswagen and MAN trucks are available through the same dealerships in my country, but Scania has a different dealers network.
When it comes to Ford turning down the Beetle, it might be a sign of that "not-invented-here syndrome" that rendered the Big Three less competitive in regional exports and overseas markets right after the oil crisis in the '70s.

To be fair, French and English businesses had taken a pass previously. Eventually it was taken on by the British military, as a make-work project.
I probably knew about the Nardo World record, but forgot it.

Imagine that Zelectric conversion in this:
Meet The East German Beetle-Based Supercar With Better Aero Than Tesla
Here's a video Jehu Garcia did on his 1957 bus in 2014:
In five minutes from 13:00 to 18:00 he shows the conversion process from double door van to 23-window walk-through, culminating in really good shots of the underside, with and without the bellypan pieces.
This has got to be the bestest 23-window bus in the world. It's further along today, with windows and Tesla battery. And he's a good video editor as well.
Of interest to me was the opening title for EVTV. It has the same music but is pre-drone-shot.
I was looking for something else and ran across this:
I call attenmtion to the two-tone cut line. I have a model VW with exactly this in red on black. I stole it from the Bugatti Royale!
Got time on your hands? http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search/label/VW
