Actually looks like a car now, And there are even three panels with the same body color
The list of things left is getting smaller all the time. Main things left are exhaust, cv joints, new belt and hoses, and a bit of underhood wiring. The car should run and be drivable after that. From there it is a matter of detailing it out and adding the extras to it like the full belly pan and minor stuff.
Only parts I am missing now are a drivers door window and windshield. If I can swap the windshield off my old xfi onto this one without breaking it then that saves me 300 bucks on a new windshield
The mesh in the rear bumper makes me think "Ferarri" or "Audi R8"
zjrog - that's quite the story. Glad it ended well. Point taken.
And FYI, Ivan busted the control arm bracket bolts on the ForkenSwift this afternoon. Too little patience; not enough heat and/or rust penetrator. </thread hijack>

Most of the whine is from the amps, they don't seem to like having a battery charger hooked to the car. But I am sure some of it is alternator whine, the engine ground doesn't seem to be connected solid so I will probably add a few more ground leads in there in random places.
So tomorrow if I have time I am going to find the leak in the brake lines and bleed them again and put the radiator in it so I can drive it around and see what falls off
Probably take the rest of this week to get it all together enough to where I would be willing to take it out on the road. Still a bunch of little stuff to do before it is really done though but it is getting closer all the time. I know it won't be done by the beginning of june but depending on how much body work there is it might not be more than a week later than I planned.
Looks much nicer with all the wires wrapped and ran carefully.
And whoever thought it was a good idea to cover the entire car in a 1/8 inch layer of bondo needs beat up I am going to have to get some 36 grit paper so I can knock it off quickly. But even with the amount I got off the trunk I can tell it is a good bit lighter so I bet there is an easy 50lbs of bondo on the car.
So now you can see the bluetooth rear view mirror, side rear view tv screens, main monitor screen, tach, and 3 gauges(egt, vacuum, oil press.), I have a few covers and trim pieces to snap on but everything on the dash works except for not having cameras hooked to the rear view screens yet.
Car drives fine for a car with no brakes, 9 lug nuts total and 3 different size tires on it I drove it 3 miles back and forth in the alleys around my house, they are all dirt and I was doing 35-40 when possible to see how the suspension handled the big holes and ruts. It held up fine and is probably the most solid feeling metro around.
Now that it is basically ready to go it is time to make it look less crappy.
