Happy equinox, everybody!
Equinox on a beach!
I was at a beach this morning! I was walking on the fresh ice that's formed on the river shore in the past couple of days. Holy *$& it's cold for spring around here.

It's really cold for this time of the year in Poland also: -5C this morning in Warsaw, almost -10 over the weekend.
But.
Still.
Biking.

Similar -12 here this AM.
My rear derailleur cable rusted (road salt) and snapped a couple of weeks ago! I haven't bothered to fix it yet, so it's a 3-speed now. Getting extra exercise, I guess.

We had ice days over here last weekend - frost for the full 24 hours; unique in this time of year in Holland. Record breaking.
The last 6 weeks have seen short breaks of nice weather lined with mild to severe frost.
Something else is breaking too - an alarming number of people is ill.
My wifes choir: 18 out of 34 are ill with the flu, plus the conductress!
My daughters class: 16 out of 30 children are ill.
At work almost everyone has been ill at least once, including Erwin who has not been ill for over 15 years.

Have you skated on a canal lately?
I skated on the Rideau Canal in our capital twice this winter. Fun.

I don’t have skates! Except for the inline wheeler things, but those are lethal on ice and banned since I lost control and landed on my butt 18 years ago anyway.
Took me 6 weeks to recover.
We did have ice and there has been skating in the canals for the first time in 6 years in Amsterdam, but a record number of people went through the ice where it wasn’t strong enough.
I’m not fond of ice but I may make an exception in special cases, like stracciatella, malaga, boysenberry or pistache.

If you can't count on anything else, at least we have planetary alignments.
Enjoy it while you can, I hear 'Winter is coming...'
That Equinox has a nice stance, I see the Buick LaCrosse around here. Same thing?

Happy solstice!
Pontiac Solstice, towing a boat!
Hope everybody's enjoying the start of summer weather up north, or beginning of winter down south.
