Those SAAB rims might be questionable aerodynamically but are probably very light.

I think there could be venting at both the upper part (tail lights) and lower part (diffuser) which I described earlier.
The new Corvette Stingray is doing both.Maybe same-same for Toyota.

Intersting , but not very aero or practical, handling would suffer with the narrow front track..

First impression (Delta Wing) that it would have wonky stability and terrible handling but the quasi-tricycle configuration is extensively tested, have better aero and optimal weight distribution, capable of 4G corners and also helped by some version of active differential 'steering' at the rear track.

Apex that corner with your rear wheels or else...

At : : PROTOTYP - PERSONEN. KRAFT. WAGEN. : :, since the German contained the word Volkswagen I entered it into Google Translate:
Quote:
On the chassis of a Volkswagen this reduced weight, aerodynamically optimized prototype, consisting of riveted aluminum and fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) was created. This prototype was never completed
Given the distance from the B-pillar to the rear wheelwell, it must have had 2 or 2+1 seating. Fiberglass body with aluminum doors. I thought the first production fiberglass body was the Aiken D-2/Marquis in about 1951-2. Are there any earlier examples?

It weighed 650kg and [reportedly] went 115km/h. With the same engine, 1 or 2 years earlier the 4 seat Volkhart -Sagitta weighed 880kg and went 150km/h.

It's a shame neither went into production.
