How about a car so aerodynamic it can fly?
http://aerocar.com/
On a side note the car only is for sale on auto trader with a 3cyl turbo engine from 1987, would make an interesting eco mod at 1510lbs. I think it just wants a non v8 powered roof and tail added on.

You can look at the new Vanguish and see the direction Jaguar's taken with aerodynamics.

They also kept the tripple windshield wipers on the car. Personally I prefer the shape of the old coupe although the smooth lines of the front are much nicer.

Yikes! No thanks.
They reference the Moulton Taylor Aerocar, then reject the novel way it drove the propeller. They probably got 5 years into the project and realized they should have gone with an electric propeller driven by a serial-hybrid powerplant in the car.
Aannnd... They skip right over the car that came inbetween, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVE_Mizar
I'd want to have a belly-band cinch strap. At least they doubled up on the wing struts that killed the Mizar's inventor.
And, the Elise is 1500lb. The Edison2 VLC will be ~1000lb. A much better choice for a platform.

The 1933 Tjaarda-designed Jaray-inspired Briggs Dream Car, a concurrent aero study along with the Chrysler Airflow and the look-alike Porsche's NSU Type 32 (VW Beetle), it was an aerodynamic, rear-engined and monocoque-bodied design prototype. Ford authorized the study for a compact Lincoln but was deemed too radical, required a more expensive and complicated assembly. Later the study did inspire a more mainstream design and re-engineered front-engined car resulting in the famous 1936 Lincoln Zephyr.

Because it flies, doesn't mean it's also aerodynamic
Power can make any brick fly.
