your temps are always going to be warmer nearer the ocean as the sheer body mass of that much water tends to temper warming/cooling effects.
last night was projected to drop into the high 20's, and it dropped (briefly) to 29*
F in my area, but after less than a hour of sunlight had climbed up to 34*
the night previous I personally saw a thermo reading of 26*, while the news reported 28* at the local airport.
my truck was completely covered in ice both mornings, which makes it the 4th time so far this winter season.
now, while some people are most likely saying 'boohoo, 20*/30* wah wah'
I live in SFL primarily because I like staying warm
