If that forces an Autostop without tearing anything up, that's what I'm looking for!
In the Black Widow I just keyed off and bump started the whole time, but since Turtle already has Autostop, I just want to trick it into Autostopping any time I press a button!

Either method works and lets the car restart the engine in its various clever ways.

So I just got mine installed, and it's not working? It cuts the engine just fine, but putting it in gear, running out of brake booster or touching throttle doesn't turn the engine on. Does the car have to be warmed up before it starts restarting like that? I can live with how it works, because a simple twist of the key or bump starting will work, but having the autostop functions would be nice.

Hmm. Strange.
Which engine kill method (circuit) did you use?
Is your main pack breaker turned on? Do you have the clutch switch mod (is it on or off)? It may interfere.

I used the same method you did, cutting the ignition coils. Calpod on (telling system clutch is under normal operations). Yea auto-stop itself is working fine. I didn't take the car out for a spin once I got it installed, I just had it sitting there in the driveway.
[Edit]: I installed it exactly like you told me

Oh, well I'd try driving it + using the kill switch first. I don't think I ever tried FAS without being in motion. And I don't think the car would ever normally autostop on its own without having been driven.

Yea I'm out driving around right now (stopped to get something to eat) and the engine won't stay dead. If I'm above 19mph if I release the clutch, it automatically restarts the car. Annoying much haha.
[Edit]: half of the time the engine just won't die, it just lugs around ~150 RPM and I can feel the engine shaking horribly. This is really annoying.

Ok, what if you have the clutch switch on? (Car thinks clutch is pressed?)

Acts the same way. I can't figure it out. The engine should just die, there is no spark.

Lol, this is why I didn't do it yet!
Balto, as soon as you and Metro have this sorted out, I'll install mine. I was afraid of jumping in without knowing exactly how it works, especially with my (very) limited electrical skills. You make a perfect guinea pig!
I just want a button next to regen button on my shifter that forces an autostop at any speed, and makes it stay off until I release the button, and then re-start normally. I don't care if I have to hold the button down the whole time to keep it off, I'm used to that already with the brake regen button, but I definitely want the car to be able to re-start itself normally after I release the button.
