Metro, that's right where I installed my brake regen button, I love it on the shifter. I'm also considering an FAS button, I'd also mount it on the shifter next to the regen button. I'm also going to heat shrink around mine, only cutting out for the top of the button, so it's more integrated.
I want to be able to FAS at any speed, so I can at EOC the Turtle. You had one of these, did you have FAS in yours?

Yes - DO IT, DO IT, DO IT. I had it in the Insight and it's super cool because of the big efficiency boost AND the way the engine automatically restarts after an engine kill: accelerator press, shift into any gear, deplete the brake vacuum.
DO IT DO IT DO IT.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. No bump-starting required! What's another button on the shifter gonna hurt? She already saw the first one.
In the Black Widow I saw about an 8-10 mpg gain just from EOCing, and I wouldn't mind getting Turtle closer to 80 mpg at all!
Anybody know what type of kill switch set-up works best in the Insight?

Here is my current install on the Metro. I'm working on making something a bit... nicer, sleeker, sexier (yes, in a Metro).

From what MetroMPG told me, he rigged a fake fuse by using male spade connectors into fuse #8 under the dash, then a female into the fuse itself. Then from the other end a female, into the fuse box a momentary switch. Hit the switch, kills the coils, off goes the engine while maintaining auto stop parameters.

Anyone have suggestions for how to kill a 2006 Acura TSX? Disconnecting the crank position sensor doesn't kill the engine.
Perhaps I need to kill both the cam and crank sensors?

Nice. It looks like a missile launcher. Now all you need is a HUD with crosshairs.

I used the simple spark kill, not the more complicated fuel kill. I think it's the "original FAS" method by CALPOD on Insight Central.
Some feel the spark kill alone may allow fuel to be briefly injected when the spark is cut before the engine stops (which would be theoretically bad for the catalyst).

Doesn't it drop out of lean burn occasionally to clear the cats anyway? Or it that a different issue?

I kill the '07 Civic engine via the fuel pump fuse circuit, under the dash.
The only downside: the engine "stumbles" once (RPM down to ~500 briefly) after most clutch restarts, before leveling out at normal speed. Possibly because by starving it for fuel there's a deficit in the lines on restart.

That's a different issue.
If you're worried about the cat, there's another method to wire 3 normally closed relays in the individual fuel injector circuits, all 3 controlled by 1 switch. Search around on IC.
