Palmear is still at it, and again may have the Vegas SEMA Show folks conned:

Napoleon, OH: October 16, 2009, 2009; Douglas Pelmear, the inventor of the 110 MPG HP2g engine, has been asked by the Specialty Equipment Manufacturer’s Association (SEMA) to speak at the Association’s annual convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 3rd. It is expected that Pelmear will reveal the basic technologies behind his highly fuel efficient and super clean operating engine.

The SEMA convention is the world’s largest exhibition for the automotive industry for automobile manufacturers, component part manufacturers and every segment of the industry. This is the second year in succession that Pelmear has been invited by SEMA to exhibit his Ford Mustang containing his revolutionary 110 mpg engine. Like he did in 2008, Pelmear will drive cross-country to Las Vegas and back to further test and prove the fuel economy and clean emissions of the HP2g.

The HP2g is a revolutionary alternative energy solution that will reduce the Nation’s reliance on foreign oil, and help keep the environment clean. The engine runs on E85, (a green alcohol-based fuel) that significantly reduces green house gas emissions. In EPA emissions testing conducted in May, the HP2g showed hydro-carbon emissions of 86.5 grams per mile, far below the EPA’s recently established 250 grams per mile requirement set for 2016.

In recent months HP2g, LLC has opened their first R&D and engine assembly facility in Wauseon, Ohio and reached other significant milestones, including:

• MOU secured from Revenge Designs, Inc., a Specialty Car company, for purchase of the first two years of our production.

• Total requests received as of August 1, 2009 for HP2g engines from all sources is now over 300,000 of production.

• U.S. IP filings made and International IP preparation in progress

• In negotiation with franchisees to establish Certified Installation and Service Center franchises for the HP2g across the U.S. and in the U.K.

SO he's going to end up finally getting investor money... all kinds of it. Then, one of those "death threats" he's gotten is going to "come true", and he and his mistress (assumed) will end up somewhere in Bogota living off all that investor money, while the investors are stuck thinking that he was killed off by some extremist activist?

That seems like the stage that's being set here...

Yeah, that's my comment ("Rob") on there. I see someone has replied to it stating that thermodynamics is required to determine the plausibility of the engine. It ain't. An understanding of work, power, and energy along with a google search for tire rolling resistance, the drag coefficient of a Mustang, and the specific energy of ethanol is all that's needed. I added a second comment to that effect but the moderation delay is pretty severe at that site.
