mph very stable with version 071

Just loaded the 071 version in the Arduinio and it is very stable. Mph up and down is dead on the odometer with no jumping back and forth. Very Nice, Many Thanks DCB. Also the instant mpg does not jump up and down like it did before. As you said it didn't really effect the tank numbers for mpg or miles traveled.

I just drove up to Maryland International Raceway for a drag race Sunday and the mileage was within .2 per gal and the miles traveled for a 708 mile trip was within .7. Pretty doggone close. I got a new high for my car at 36.83 for 368 miles. I think I'm going to have to do some aero work to it to see anymore at 70-80 mph.

Many Thanks,
Mark

By uploading the new software, does it overwrite existing settings (timeout, usec/gallon, and vss pulses/mile)?

edit: nevermind, I just saw the update notes for v0.66

Another note:

I noticed in the settings that the gallons * 1000 is not currently being used. How feasible is it to display gallons and/or distance remaining on the current tank? I know we are limited on space, but I thought I would put that out there.

I'm interested in this too. It whouldn't be too difficult at all - I was going to try it myself. Gallons to empty should simply be a function that takes the tank gallons and subtracts it from the gallons * 1000. Multiply that by tank MPG and you get miles to empty.

I'm probably willing to give up the raw data screens to get additional space - does anyone use regularly these or could we put them in the #ifdef debug?

Link for v0.71?

Is there a link for getting to version 0.71? All I can find is the v0.70 (or at least it is labeled as such). Thanks.

Also, if we were seriously looking at gallons used/left in tank, we should look into miles left on tank (which should be easy enough). Just a thought.

Are you sure that's v0.71? it still reads "#define ver=700" as the first line. Should that be updated to "#define ver=710"? Thanks.

Your browser must have it cached. I open it to see #define ver=701. I'm looking over the code and see all the big displays #ifndef debuguino'ed out, and the custom display...

Good call! If I open it in Internet Explorer, it's 701, if i open it in Firefox, it's 700, so it has to be cached. I don't know that I would have ever figured that one out on my own... Thanks.
