One benefit of this crisis is that Oregon is finally allowing us to pump our own gas.

What's the benefit in that? Cedar Flat used to have a different high school girl every time I stopped in there.

Next time I step out of the car I'll refill both of these. Usually it's just the one on the right (to balance out the weight):

edit:
Turns out the 'fish tank cleaner' lady had it in for her husband. Here's the story.

It passes the Occam's Razor test, at least.

Real patriots!

That guy is too loud...

A second shipment is coming in, although they do not specify who is flying it.

Nice of this billionaire with a private plane to help out people. If only there were other billionaires with private planes! Then they could help out other states!

New York has over 100,000 cases, 1.1 million worldwide, 59,000 deaths, and 12,000 deaths in 2 days.

At least we have some good news!

What is the benefit to pumping my own gas? It saves 5-10 minutes per visit. The ratio of worker to pump is generally about 1 to 4. A fill-up at Fred Meyer or Costco generally takes 10-15 minutes.

You can always pump you own diesel so filling the TDI takes about 5 minutes. Same with the motorcycle. The van - 15 minutes minimum.

I'd be very suspicious of anything medical manufactured in a country that is actively seeking our demise.

They're extrapolating New York numbers to the normal part of the country.

JSH — First time I've put gas in the Superbeetle cut with ethanol. I hope a half-tank doesn't ruin the hoses. Don't know if you know, but I've got VW diesel as well. Pre-turbo, pre-Dieselgate 1979 Dasher.

It may take longer, but if the attendant wears gloves, there is less risk of contamination.

However, I hated waiting for attendants in Oregon!

That will depend on if they are original hoses or more recent replacements. The hoses and o-rings on my 70's motorcycles didn't react well to ethanol.

It is shocking to look at a Dasher and a current model year Passat and realize the Dasher was the first generation Passat. The current one is just HUGE in comparison. Of course the same thing has happened with the Honda Accord.

The oldest VW I've owned was an 86 Jetta I bought in 2005 for $500. The was the last of my series of free - $1000 cars.

They wear gloves but handle everyone's credit card with the same gloves.

Guess you haven't heard that >80% of many medicines and medical supplies come from China?

The demise of your biggest customer is bad for business. Capitalism is great for peace.
