And now for some Toyota Trash Talk. You Honda and Metro boys in the Top Ten 90 day mpg Gas car group, had better get ready for a new neibour because a Yaris is comming to town. My next refuel in about 2 weeks should do it, I should hit 59.5mpg.

Not so fast, red!
Count your chickens after they hatch!

Colder weather is coming, and I think it will reach Alberta before it reaches our "Lower 48" here in the good ol' USA.

I do hope your Yaris does great in cold weather though. That would be sweet.

As I am niether a metiorologist or economist, there is a good chance that my ability to predict the number of eggs in the incubator that will turn into checkens is not unreliable. Although your long range weather predictions do stand a chance of showing my prognostications for what they are; cheep talk. time will tell. If previous seasonal weather is anything to go by, I have until the middle of October to get the job done.

Good chuckle, redyaris - thanks!

I hope to work on some aero mods soon. Gotta try to stay above the 50 mark when old man winter shows up!

I've got Team Subaru bracketed. I'm the lowest actual MPG and the highest percent over EPA. Sigh.

Dang.

I keep trying to get my car's 90-day average up to and past Team Honda's average. I'm close but the team average seems to keep creeping upwards!!

Team Honda:49.65 mpg
Lean Burn Civic: 48.88 mpg = current 90-day avg
Lean Burn Civic: 50.42 mpg = last 3 tanks

I have some changes coming up.

1) Will temporarily not be commuting 50-55 mi. each way due to contract ran out, so I will have a couple weeks (or more!!) off work till a new contract is written. Shorter trips don't yield the 50-ish mpg of that long commute. My wallet hopes the new contract is ready within 2-3 weeks.

2) I hope to now have time to build the rear deck aero project on the Civic. http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...upe-18906.html If it works as intended it should get me at least a few mpg. Plus rear skirts, maybe will get the car good enough to still pull 50 mpg in the New England Winter that I know is coming...

59.75 mpg 90 day..., and still climbing. #8 on the list and looking for #4 before I will need to go on to more aeromods for even better mpg. This neighborhood is almost a mono-brand with all the metro-honda-ables, not only that but they are soooo "nineties" I can see the future and it looks like 62 - 64 mpg 90 day...

Hey, man. That's me at #4. I'm not gonna just give it up, ya know! My numbers are climbing too! Good luck.

Game on
My hypermiing game ends around 63 mpg if winter doesn't get in the way, so if you can top that you win for this year. Then it's back to aero mods to see if I can emulate basjoos and go for the 75+ mpg zone with more aero and less hypermiling.
Good Luck
