Interesting to see how many will put their money where their mouth is and buy a new Bolt next year. People have been whining about range and battery life forever and now these two objections are gone.

Nah
They will keep covering their irrational bias
Basing decisions on Evs available 10,20 or 30 years ago.

As data comes out that they are more reliable than gas counterparts and parts are the same cost as gassers

They will use the fact that a full set of parts to do a brake job on a focus hybrid is $2500 to justify the ev battery replacement cost of $2300 as being too expensive.

Interesting motor sims of the Leaf show efficiency rising up to 100nm. So maybe you can be too light on the accel pedal.

This motor features a nice three element interior permanent magnet motor showing very clean flux lines with minimal wasted heat in eddy currents.

Hopefully we find out soon - possibly January 5th at CES?

Here are my nitpicks of the 2015 Leaf after a week or so. We're at 4.0 miles/kWh, which is about average, I guess. I just started using Eco mode today.

You have to hold the key right next to the power button to start it. The trouble is, where do you put the key afterwards? It can't go back in your pocket because you're sitting down.

It seems like you have to slam the doors fairly hard.

It doesn't have a display for all tire pressures like my Cruze does (even though it retails for $19k more). That is a nice feature.

Other than these nitpicks, my wife is loving it. I think I like the Cruze a bit more.

The battery in your key fob is dieing . Ot should know youare present with the fob before you sit down . My experience has been the owner was in the back seat and it worked flawlessly.

Our 2015 Leaf keys needed new batteries a couple of months ago; and we got a warning on the dash when they were running low. It always worked, no matter where it was located, as long as it was in the car.
