Yea I guess it can't hurt to send an email to them. Wasn't sure how their customer support is but if you guys say it's good I'll give it a try and report back. If we can get old ones updated for free using the EM update it helps us all.

So linear logic got back to me super quick and said to just send the gauge and ask for the ecomodder update and everything will be handled. So it looks like old version gauges can be totally updated by asking for the ecomodder update

Got my scangauge back yesterday and played around with it a little bit today. I didn't realize that part of the EM update involved having the average mpg programmed in already. So I went through and programmed it anyway lol. I programmed in a tank average gauge to keep track tank to tank to try and improve my MPG.

Very happy with linear logic right now as they only had the gauge about 2 days before receiving an email that they were shipping it back and got it 2 days after. Thanks Darin for setting this up and getting us all a free update, going from an older software to up the newest EM update only cost me the price of shipping to gauge to Arizona.

Okay, I am (finally) looking to program the X-Gauge to read the tank average (instead of or in addition to the trip average). And it looks different than it was before. The version 6.0 manual has the X-Gauge instructions starting on page 38.

Can anybody walk me through this, please?

On my new updated one a tank average code would be: TXD: 03; RXF: 8. All numbers after the 8 are ignored. Make no changes to the RXD and MTH screens. Name the gauge and save it. Mine is named TNK for tank average, but you can name it whatever works for you lol.
