I sent in one of mine already, and was back to me withing about a week. Quite quickly - I sent it First Class postal with $200 insurance - cost me less than $4. I now have sent in my second unit.
Excellent service from Linear Logic!
Edit: you need to be clear that you are sending it in for the EcoModder fix - I thought I had written that on my second one, but they called me today, to ask me for a credit card number; but then since it is for this fix, they are doing it for free.

Two things:
1. I'm not sure it's truly reading zero. It may be just 0.000001 instead of 0.02. I rolled down the hill in the parking lot without starting the engine and it was reading numbers instead of '----'. Ended up 100 yards down showing 150 mpg or so.
2. The "Today" segment hasn't reset since I installed it Sunday night. It's reading the same as the Tank segment so far.
Edit: it still hasn't reset. The car sat at home for 13.5 hours overnight.

Same here: the "today" data is wonky.
Has yours reset at all? I've only used the car once recently, and there were ~15 hours between drives, but still no "today" reset.
The SG2 manual says:
Quote:
The TODAY trip will
automatically reset after the engine has been off for 8 to 10 hours (as
when sitting overnight).

I didn't try the rolling-down-the-hill experiment without having started the engine before. Does your gauge show ---- rather than 9999 when the engine's off? I'm not clear on that part.

I drove my car for the first time since I got my last Thursday. So far, so good. I thought the sample rate would be quicker to change to 9999 after shutting off the engine - it is still about 3-4 seconds.
I need to recalibrate the tank capacity, and the speed setting is only based on my odometer calibration for my current tires.
I will take a look at the Today information.

I have a different problem: every time I restart the car, the AVG resets to 0.
I had a really old version, which I had to program in the X-Gauge to get the average MPG. And it stayed put until I refilled the tank. This one is not "remembering" it ...

Neil: *every* time? Like after an engine off coast? Or after several minutes or more of inactivity (that's normal behavior for the "current" average).
A seemingly simple change ... but the leg bone is connected to the hip bone, and the hip bone's connected to the...
Personally, I'm OK with the daily average not resetting in exchange for current trip/tank data that has proper EOC data.
I'll contact Linear tomorrow and see what they say.

No, just when I park it, and start it again hours later. I am using the Hybrid mode (as I did before) because of EOC'ing. I didn't check the Daily stuff; but then I almost never need that.
I do want to have my AVG work for a whole tank, though.

That's normal behaviour for the CURRENT average -- it resets after 3 minutes of inactivity. There's also the TODAY average ( supposed to reset after 8 hrs), the YESTERDAY average and the TANK average. You can access them through the TRIPS menu.

Okay, so the AVG that is part of the regular menu of choices on the main displays is the "Current" average? Or can it be toggled between those other averages?
As I said, my SG II was old enough to not have the average available in the regular menu of things to display on the four displays; and I had to program through the X-Gauge to get it. Should I just do that again?
I like having the (instant) MPG above the tank average, so I can drive better. And I don't want to have to toggle to the tank average. I thought that the AVG value was the tank average, not the current average. The current average is just the trip, and that is not very useful to me.

Yeah, it sounds like you'll have to reprogram that tank average x-gauge.
