Wow!! This would blow my MPGuino out of the water! I had no choice when searching for a MPG and trip computing system. Would it be at all possible to use this with a 1989-90 vintage OBD1 (Chrysler Style) engine? I do have a supplemental Over/Under drive I can get pulses per mile from....It's only TBI, so injector Pulse Width isn't all that great as a measurement.

What do you all think? Is this doable???

Hello , i have a question in regards to JOBD , my Mitsubishi Galant '99 made in Japan , seems to be equipped with JOBD , that pretty much means that ELM will not work for me. As far as i see JOBD is included in the OBDuino code (at least i see it, searching for "jobd") ,so in theory it should work if the signals from the 16 pin connector are driven in to the Arduino ... how do i do that ? Is there an other suitable chip ?

Any help would be appreciated , thanks.

it is not the type of plug that counts, it's the protocol...
try to find out what protocol is your jobd running.

The exact protocol is MUT-II ,seems to be pretty common fot Mitsubishi even the Evo-s (up to 8) have it.

I have no idea what connector you got there, but after little googling around I understood that MUT is Mitsubishi specific diagnostic tool or protocol or something... as far as I know OBDuino doesnt need vehicle specific protocol, but general - iso, can etc...
jobd is japaneese standart for obdII. shouldnt the plug be the same as normal obdII?

The connector is the 16 pin OBD II-like one ,the data is оn the K line: Mut II , 15625 baud rate. I will try to get the exact protocol, probably not much different than OBD2 .

I have version 198.
