Oops, I need to edit that. I really should be working right now and didn't think it through...

That would make gathering odometer data rather difficult- must have gotten all the data needed back when the speedo/odo worked.
BTW, the speedo only goes to 100mph... FWIW.

My reality is impressive enough for most of the people I meet. I don't need to make up nonsense. Google me to see I've been around awhile and you'll not see much (if any) negative.
I do not mind 'picked apart' as long as it's honest. I've been saving fuel since 1974 and have gotten quite tired of people telling me I can't do what I already did
Saving fuel is what I DO for a living and I'm trying to help as many people as I can. I see a lot of stuff going on here that I've already done and it'll be good to share with people who are serious about saving fuel.
I will, of course, present evidence whenever possible. Like I said, I've been doing this a long time and I know the score. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

George promised there would be no bogusness so hopefully he will point out where I screwed up...

Not a tractor axle. Gearing is lower - numerically higher. Example: Farmall Cub, 46 ring, 10 pinion teeth for 4.6:1. Some tractors with planetary or portal axles may have a higher ratio in the final drive.

Hey, if there's a 405-mph tractor outside the box, sign me up.

If a '63 Ford pickup can do it, why not a tractor?

I don't what the ratios are but maybe he meant a 2-speed rear end. No I am not defending him.

Go back through the thread; he meant ratio. You don't jack up a wheel and turn the driveshaft to decide if it's a two-speed axle.
