Well, I still like PUMA, whether it has been used before or not.
Otherwise, how about SABERTOOTH?
Unless we are trying to avoid Marvel X-Men characters as well!
Also, SABERTOOTH would be a cool name if we could get the controller to communicate data using Bluetooth!

off topic, beginner question and not related to the names, can be this control a good candidate to use in a Prius EV conversion with the ICE removed? maybe a stupid question(sorry) but is not the Prius motor an AC motor?,if the Prius controller is a complication to deal with maybe this control can be a solution,I'm looking for a donor and I'm considering options, probably I missing a bunch of important thinks here but who know and this is a good idea.sorry for hijack you thread! excellent forum guys

Ya, you could use this controller, where if the stupid thing ever works. haha. It's just a 3 phase motor right? They may not be very forthcoming about some of the details of the motor characteristics, but it's possible to deduce the characteristics by doing some tests with it.

Well, I need to debug the circuit a little bit. It might be working, but I can't tell without my oscilloscope right now. Using an LED didn't work very well, and the stupid volt meter was no help either. I'm going to get this in a few weeks I think:
usb oscilloscope
It's worked pretty well for the people that I've talked to.

Thanks Paul,I guess this is a complicated route to follow without the appropriate knowledge and the advantage for use a "factory made" motor-transmission in the long run can become a nightmare, again sorry for hijack you thread.
