Yeah, it sounds like something more complicated than just the flasher. Those things are cheap and available. If you need more warnings for the hull, there's always these:

The tire sticks (or, stuck) out too far to pull it down further. I have debated extending it the full height but figure front skirts may do more good overall. They're a higher priority right now.

I just have the license plate light. Figure the LED's are bright enough that I should be able to see what's behind me. Not planning on backing up a lot in the dark, anyway.
