The owner just said the IMA light was on... Probably a good idea to check all the ground straps and look into building a deep discharger and grid charger... Hopefully, balancing and fully charging the battery brings it back to operational condition... He said it commutes fine, anyone drive one of these in hilly terrain without IMA assist?

I have a switch to turn assist on and off in my car. It's usable; even without the IMA it has more power than 90's Geo Metros. I often do extended hill climbing in a lower gear with the IMA turned off anyway, so I don't run the battery down. It's nice to have when passing someone on a two lane road and makes starting in first on a hill a lot nicer, but I could live without it.

When the IMA was kerflooey in my Civic, climbing was a bit of a chore but Honda engines don't mind revving, drop an extra gear and off you go.

So, guys, I picked up my next car... It's not anything I mentioned here earlier...

It's also not what I was originally looking for, and way over my original budget, but I can Uber in it to make the payment and I like it well enough... I'll wait to officially intro it until tomorrow, so as to get time to start cleaning it up...

That, and I kinda wanna build suspense, and solicit guessing...

When it gets a little warmer today, I'll go out and photograph it... Some clues though...

Not a hybrid(sadly)
Not a compact or subcompact
Not a manual transmission(though they were available)
Not much newer than the one it replaced
