One tip I learned from Euromodder was to adjust to halfway in between predicted and real, so in your case it would be around 29 litres. The SG shows a % difference. Using EM's technique I'm down to <5% for each tank. One annoying aspect is that trip averages may all be over 50 but I only get 47 or less on a tank.

Anyone know how to get a tank avg on the gauge ?

Now I disconnected it from Audi and put to Lupo. So all settings are rested?

P.S. Done 300 km trip with Lupo, OE computer showed 3.4 l/100 km average.

Do you mean reset ?

No, you have to enter the Lupo's engine displacement yourself, and the ScanGauge needs to be calibrated in the Lupo by doing some fill-ups.

Pain in the ass ;] BTW I bought Seat Ibiza TDI '00 81kW. Also very good eco car. I had chance to participate in eco rally, managed to get 3.1 l / 100 consumption ;]

Hello,

I know now much more details about eco trip. It will be 1485 km, average speed ~ 70 km/h! So that means, that I will need to drive on 90-100 km/h. Any tips for that speed?

About participants.

There will be 4 hybrids: Toyota Auris 1800ccm VVT-i Hybrid SD, Honda Jazz Hybrid 1300ccm, Honda CR-Z 1500ccm, Honda Insight 1300 ccm.

The biggest rivals are: Skoda Octavia GreenLine 1600 ccm TDI, and new VW Polo 1.2 TDI Bluemotion...

All tips are welcomed! ;]]

That's over 21 hours of driving @ 70 km/h and a huge distance for what's called an "eco" competition !

Use the Scangauge or GPS to give you the average speed if this speed is a requirement.
In my car, the board computer's average always reads higher than the GPS or SG.

I'd look at the maximum speed you need to drive to be able to reach that average. You don't want to drive any faster than necessary.
This would obviously depend on the type of roads you need to travel.
Is it mostly motorway ?

I'd say the 1.2TDi is your worst enemy.
