If you care, AI is now embedded in whatever current android phone system. I now have a popup in my Opera browser that defaults to Google AI when I attempt a search along with splashy full screen that you have to scroll through AND IT DOESNT DELETE.

How susceptible to AI manipulation am I, given my proclivity to doubt everything first?

If George Hotz had a publicly traded company, I'd heavily invest. Personal AI might be the only way to counteract AI whose objectives are misaligned. We'll need something to filter out the nearly infinite number of deep fakes that will be generated. Imagine "news" not simply being able to hypnotize people into "fine people", "drink bleach", or "rape" hoaxes, but deep-fake audio/video to finally back their deceit.

George wants an out-of-the-box product you press the on button, and then align it to your objectives.

All that said, I've found Brave AI summaries to be quite useful so far, with little standing out to me as misaligned responses. Then again, I'm asking how many seats a vehicle has, or when someone was born, which has little reason to be manipulated.

You watch Scott Adams. Some things work even if you know what they're doing. Not so much all powerful as relentless.

AI will figure out what I respond to. I'm better than most at placing emotions to reason, but if AI can out-reason me in any direction it wishes, then I'm as vulnerable as anyone.

As SA says, hypnosis doesn't get people to do or believe things they are opposed to; it just nudges them. Probably those who believed "fine people" wanted to believe it, and so they did. There might not even be 1 person who didn't want to believe it, and then was convinced deceived persuaded by "news".

I was relieved to hear SA isn't going to talk about drones for a while. The Locals app bug that allows non-members to listen to members only streaming hasn't been fixed yet, so I heard the Raquel Welch story along with one about a beautiful secretary that worked at the phone company.

"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."

Everyone goes on about the drones/not-drones in NJ and CA and ignores the UAPs over Eugene/Florence last Saturday night.

I'd thought you'd bought in. Doll hairs to donuts, the R. Welch story is about an AI deepfake.

I had bought in during the initial cancellation, but found listening at 1x to be suboptimal, and then the bug where I can hear the exclusive content was another factor to allow the subscription to expire. SA audience didn't have the sophistication as other audiences, and I almost never had something I wanted to comment in real-time. The main excitement of subscribing to famous people is getting them to interact with you, and that just doesn't trip my trigger as much as for others.

If Scott ever fell on very hard times, I'd have him stay here, so long as he remembers to take the garbage out.

Isn't the issue more how can you avoid the eventual seduction process AI starts?

The problem is entirely alignment, because there isn't an option to avoid AI. Those who avoid it just become irrelevant, at best.

As a corollary, human genetic engineering will not be illegal in the future, because it will be the only way to remain relevant/viable. If one group is producing physically healthy geniuses, while another is producing sickly dullards, the healthy geniuses will own 95% of wealth.

The future guarantees genetically engineered cyborgs, and the challenge is to direct the engineering in pro-human and pro-individual ways.

In today's episode, Adams is back to his bloody-minded ways, suggests 47 should threaten to escalate to one million drone warfare. The fruitful path would be to force an election in Ukraine so there is someone to negotiate with.
