If religion is anything that can't be proven, then everything is religion.
Rationality must reference itself as the argument to be rational. There's no proving that being rational is the rational thing to do, in other words. It just seems right.

What did the ratification of the constitution do? What is the constitution about?

Try to keep up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution
Quote:
A constitution is an aggregate of fundamental principles or established precedents that constitute the legal basis of a polity, organisation or other type of entity and commonly determine how that entity is to be governed.[1]
When these principles are written down into a single document or set of legal documents, those documents may be said to embody a written constitution; if they are encompassed in a single comprehensive document, it is said to embody a codified constitution...
Constitutions concern different levels of organizations, from sovereign countries to companies and unincorporated associations. ... Within states, a constitution defines the principles upon which the state is based, the procedure in which laws are made and by whom. Some constitutions, especially codified constitutions, also act as limiters of state power, by establishing lines which a state's rulers cannot cross, such as fundamental rights.

If you think the (US) Constitution is a 'religious document' then you are underinformed to the extent I ask that you not vote. Leave it to the grownups.

"Try to keep up" is funny. I suspect trying to keep up with and sort out the overwhelming amount of information, disinformation, and misinformation is a part of why some people are so confused.

People aren't just confused, they are intentionally mislead by media Inc. What percent of people still believe the "fine people" hoax? I had a friend visit recently who had nearly every fact she shared exactly wrong. Media Inc has sold out their credibility in lieu of clicks.
That is a bigger problem than any other single issue being discussed, and of course Media Inc isn't going to bring that subject up.

My "religious" comment can and does represent more than one meaning. Many Americans believe America and its mythical founding and such are divine. Some have a patriotic fervor. Some seem to think it does one thing, but I don't want to reveal my take too soon.

What's the hoax of "There are many fine people on both sides"?
The media problem isn't as much "fake news" as it is shallow analysis and shoddy principles.

Feigning and misdirection are 'trollish' behavior. OTOH I throw things out to throw Google off the scent so... fair enough.

Long story short, it's a half-quote.

Re: "If the vote is fair and the Bill of Rights is adhered to, what else could you want?"
Breaking it down: "If the vote is fair"
You seem to believe voting makes a significant difference.
"Bill of Rights"
We need a Bill of Wrongs much more than that weak Bill of Rights.
"what else could you want?"
Plenty.

I want 'the three' to post their takes, first.
There are boatloads "in evidence" regarding the basest elements of the base.
