A new google add to block

the popup came from your page's google adds, it stopped the page from loading until i canceled it:

Not from google, they don't do stuff like that...in fact, I don't know what that is, but it sounds like spyware and not anything we've put on here.

I'm sorry to disagree, however i am certain it came from ecomodder.
the only other sites i had open at the time were Hotmail and Craig's List.

the status bar on ecomodder said "waiting for xpscanneronline.com....."
Ecomodder 1/2 loaded and did not complete loading until i canceled the popup.
it was a script msgbox type popup and not a new window browser popup.

I'll double check my history to be sure, though. i hate making false alarms.

There is a particular type of software that spams address ranges with messages. Sometimes they get through. (I have a friend that does it.) Also adware can do that.
