I use a local mechanic for most of my work, and he does my inspections. Never had trouble getting in for the inspections even when cars are lined up for the inspection. Never had a problem with the inspection, either. I think Jimmy takes care of his regular customers...

I updated my fuel log to reflect quitting my long commute job, and idle problems. A few people have moved up one spot in the top 10 of team Honda. If someone does a little better it would be quite easy to knock me off of the #10 slot!
I submit that as a challenge to 2000neon, PaleMelanesian, basjoos, Stacygifford, mloveland78, and Ecky. You want my spot? come and get it! Also i really hope you do take my spot! Good luck, i know you guys can do it!

Wow. The gap between numbers 4 through 10 on the list is just a couple MPG. But the gap between #3 & #4 is 11mpg.

I'm almost back into the overall top 10. And now I'm #9 in team honda. Damn these lists have gotten more competitive it seems. Especially Team Honda.

What gets me is the % over EPA. A couple years ago my Subaru had a respectable spot on that list. Now the top of the list is crowded with cars that were pretty economical on their own- I mean come on, the top 5 on that list are more than 100% over the EPA rating!
It's a good feeling, getting great numbers and still being low down on the list. Very inspirational numbers on those lists.

Some of you guys must have had bad tanks, cause you let me sneak past Team Honda again, back up to the #6 spot. I challenge all 33 of you to step it up and make me bring up my game to hold the spot!
My kid just bought himself a Festiva, so I'm going to make him join ecomodders and TEAM FESTIVA. That should throw you back into 6th pretty quick, lol!

I resemble that remark (#4 on the % over EPA list, I am).
It's also interesting how over at the % over EPA list for HYBRIDS you see cars that dominate the team lists for MPG but that have far lower % over EPA scores than the best gasoline vehicles in that category. I'm 120+ % over EPA but the #4 ranked hybrid is only 48.5% over EPA, and has a 90 day average of 78 versus my 66.
We non-hybrid guys have had to work quite hard to score competitive numbers against the hybrids, is the point. I may end up sold on a hybrid, eventually. Grrrr....

Well, you guys are outdriving your cars hard core. Taking that to a hybrid only makes sense, but it looks like unless you get an Insight you're going to take a hit on mpg- all the gasoline top 10 are higher than hybrids 6-10.

"Team" Festiva? There is no "I" in team... :P
At a respecatble 47mpg, I'm 26th on Team Honda! No other team even has 26 members!
