Just external speakers for your stereo, but white noise when you are on the phone using bluetooth.

Just really loud muffled bass on the outside and noise-cancelling speakers on the inside for blissful quiet.

I wouldn't mind Sweet Child 'O Mine as a noise generator.

I'm surprised active noise cancellation isn't a standard feature of vehicles beginning about 20 years ago. Perhaps it's hard to get the phase timing right when the position of occupants varies? At minimum they could optimize for the driver and that should be better than nothing.

Active noise canceling works reasonably well if focused to one area, like your ears in closed headphones (like my Sony WH-1000XM2) but is pretty useless in the open space of like a car interior. Especially with noise sources from all directions.

You guys should go to the ghetto. They have a lot of noise generators. Big bass, and even have two speakers in the front, and two in the back so you can here it on the outside.

Makes me cringe thinking about it.

On the one hand, that escalated quickly.

On the other, I don't have to. My next door neighbor got a shed from Summit Structures and parked it right outside my window. First thing he did was move his stereo into it.

Outside it sounds like music, when I'm inside it's just random muffled thumps.
