How did the lights do for visibility? They look super bright in the pic!
Also, I'm gonna ask cause I'm too impatient to read the whole thread, do they pull less juice than the OEM lights, and are they Insight-specific, or generic? The Ebay ad was in French, and I only speak Spanglish

They pull less for both headlights then one of your average OEM headlights. There's an option at the top of the page to change the page to English. As far as I can see they are generic.

They are lot brighter than my 45w Sylvania EcoBright or 55w OEM, they spread the light wider and further. But they suck in rain and the high beam are shy.

They pull 25w each instead of 55w OEM. The LED headlights kits are generic but I think they are more f*ck it yourself.

Beated my previous highscore of 115.6 mpg on my Costco commute! Did 116.5 mpg. I know that under 2 L/100 km (117.7 mpg) is possible for my commute.

The go trip :

The returning trip :

During the commute I had a max mpg of 119.7 mpg (1.97 LHK) :

Could not resist to take a picture.

Today I broke up all my previous highscore and I also beated my forever challenge of doing under 2 L/100 Km on my costco commute!
Conditions were perfect, really hot outside, no wind, good traffic light timing and a lot of luck to be honest. Could P&G at very low speed behind a slow vehicule in a no-passing lane so I got very better results on my go trip.

Did 126.1 mpg (US) / 1.87 L/100 Km! :

I got 119.8 mpg / 1.96 LHK on the go trip so I also achieved my goal to do under 2 LHK on my go trip :

And I also took the time to take some pictures of my trips :

Trip A (I'm still a 20/20 bars (since 04/17)) :

Trip B (Since I installed the Potenza RE92 (04/17)) :

And Lifetime :

Sorry for the bandwith steal .

Congrats & felicitations!!!

That's impressive. I only got 90 mpg US / 2.6 L/100km in my Firefly last time I drove it. I feel so wasteful!

PS: your battery state of charge looks low.

That's really impressive for such short trips, and in cold Canada of all places! Will you try to do a 100mpg tank?

Of course I will try to do a 100 mpg tank!

I'm at 98.9 right now .

This is because I charge my battery every two commute. I only use assist when I do a pulse and I never do regen if it is not in DFCO. So there is a lot of outside grid energy in my results. The mpg equivalent would be a nice thing to consider. Would need a kill-a-watt.

Did a trip to Lac Nominingue this weekend. 214 mi mostly on mountaineous area. Average speed : 75 km/h | 46.6 mph. Lot of hill climbing and downshifting required. Did P&G in the low speed zones and DWL on the highway. Tried to stay near 110 mpg at 50-55 mph. Did P&G on the last 15 km of the highway on the returning trip. My well-balanced battery did great in the mountain. I never had a forced regen or recal. Did 3 cycles of the battery on the go an returning trip.

I also could plug at the place so I charged it there to. Here is a pic the trip FCD :

My tank average went from 98.9 mpg to 93 mpg

Went to the SMCC Economy run this saturday and I did 109.7 mpg (US) / 2.14 LHK avg. 95% P&G and an average speed of 43 mph. It was really hot and the conditions were great.

Today I went to my cousin's house for the first time. I did 103.6 mpg / 2.27 LHK avg Laval - Val-Morin - Laval. Average speed of 47 mph. Again really hot temps and good conditions.

Tank average is now at 96.3 mpg on the FCD.
