Today I went to my cousin's house for the first time. I did 103.6 mpg / 2.27 LHK avg Laval - Val-Morin - Laval. Average speed of 47 mph. Again really hot temps and good conditions.

Tank average is now at 96.3 mpg on the FCD.
That is wierd, your average is the same as mine after getting to work.

I have actually gotten the meter sustained over 100mpg for the first time since owning the car and had 80miles of 101mpg average action on the clock. I had disconnected the EGR valve and installed a partial belly pan (mine is pretty much destroyed on the bottom)

I am hoping my EGR delete will keep me around 100mpg, the car has never been able to come close previously, its a great change, though it still misses even with EGR disconnected.

I laughed when you told me in Montreal: "I don't look at gas prices because I use so little I only fill up four times a year."

Update : Did really good commutes this spring. So good that my average Spring average is higher than my summer 2013 average! This is good news for summer 2014 average.

Also I bought the passenger side engine cover from Honda. I will install it and post pics this week I hope. Maybe I will do my passenger mirror delete at the same time. I also have my LED cluster lights and my FAS system to install and I'll be ready for this summer.

Gas gauge is at 7/20 bars and 97.5 mpg / 690 mi on the FCD.

FAS system? You don't have a kill switch yet? Or is this one of Mike's more complicated ones?

No killswitch yet!

The FAS system is Mike's killswitch system for the Insight. It is a pcb. I'm not sure for this one tho, It might not do exactly what I want it to do. I need to try it to be sure.

Here is a link to Mike's FAS system on his website :

100 mpg tank - checked

I did it! I did a 100 mpg tank! I'm so happy right now you can't imagine.

This tank was super long, the last time I filled-up was in april! I did 1028 miles on 10.274 gal (US) = 100.06 . I'm lucky! Anyway, FCD said 101.9 mpg so I was pretty confident to get it this time.

This morning I was at 969 miles and I went to my cousin's house at Val-Morin. I took a liter of 94 octane gas with me just in case. Finally I put the liter just before leaving my cousin's house. I filled-up on the way home in Saint-Jérôme. This time I decided to try the 94 octane gas and I can say that I like it so far. And with 4 fillups a year I don't mind of the gas prices.

I did 111.8 mpg average on the trip so now my fresh trip A (tank) is under 2 L/100 km | 117+ mpg.

If I was driving the car more I could have done a 110+ mpg tank because since the beginning of summer my average is under 2 LHK.

My commute is 100% city with a max speed limit of 30 mph. It is 3.7 miles each way and it has 7 lights and 3 stops. I mostly do 100% P&G at very low speed like 18-30-18 mph P&G cycles. I do this particular commute for more than one year now and I know it by heart so that helps a lot too.

Congrats!

You bumped me out of first, but with 24 fill ups a year and a 44mile highway (sometimes grid lock) commute I could never dream of a 100mpg tank...... so I went electric and now have 0 fill ups a year!

PS if you still want an IMACC I have all the parts for sale
