CAI is coming. Intercooler will have to go at least for know. I didint have it in my Seat and what it did. 0.1-0.15 bar more boost pressure and faster throttle response. Faster response is more important when doing P&G. Push is usually only 7 seconds so the temps wont have time to go that high... Also those temperatures were measured with steady throttle. So when doing P&G @ 100 km/h or 62 MPH the intake temperatures will be close to 40-50 celsius range. With intercooler they were 30-40. So its about 15 celsius more which might be little bit more power but how much more l/100km it is?

Results:
New personal best 2.55 l/100 km or MPG 92.4 US but the avg speed was IMO lower (now about 80 km/h) than with my seat on the same leg. I think those new tires dont roll so nicely than the Toyos, but they are new. Other reason might be that they come too much outside from the wheel well or the air director for brakes causes problems with closed rims. Any way those air directors need to go anyway, but I have to do more test with the tire setup...

Second half it was already dark so I had to use driving lights. Also weather was little bit colder and the cars own fuel consumtion meter jumped from 2.5 to 2.7...

On downhills it felt like I had handbrake on when comparing gliding properties to my old Seat. This means there is lot to be done with the cars aerodynamics.

Builded full smooth undertray and new high flow exhaust pipe. Exhaust pipe comes out from drivers side and that has two purposes, reduce weight of the pipe and make air flow better behind the tire. At the moment pipe is quite far behind from the tire and I wonder would it be better if I turn the exhaust exit towards the front tire to get it closer the tyre?

Exhaust noises arent really high on the highway but on lower speeds you can call it race exhaust when the turbo is not yet spooling. I dont yet need no ear protectors inside the car, but the interior will be stripped out in the future. I was muvh quiter than I expexted it to be . I will try to measure the desibels of the new exhaust as soon as I get some dB meter in my hands.

New undertray has impoved the gliding properties a lot and Lupo start to glide as good as my old seat. Still I think it will at least those rear skirts to be at the same range with Seat.

I ordered full set of Bridgestone B381 Ecopias 145/80R14 to be able to use the stock magnesium rims and to get cleaner looks to the car. I also did not like the gliding properties of those Toyos :/. Well now when I have the set I can compare those two in paraller. I also have one wicked looking idea conserning the wheel covers. It depends on the tyres will it work as planned.

Mods done so far to the car:
3.5 bars at the tires
Toyo 310 135/80R15 front tires 7% taller gearing
DRL led lights
DIY smooth hubcaps
DIY Front grill block
DIY Smaller mirrors
DIY full smooth undertray
DIY high flow exhaust pipe, also about 7kg lighter
Radio antenna delete
Aero windscreen wipers (no metals)
Weight savings:
rear seat 13kg
exhaust pipe 7kg

Good job dude.

Do you have any pics of the original undertray? I thought VW did their homework on it, but looks like I was wrong. How much do you think the Cd was improved with the undetray?

The exhaust does look cool, but why not stick a lightweight high flow muffler in between, the added noise stress on yourself and the enviroment is a lot bigger than those negligible weight savings.

You could be drawing attention with that side-exhaust.
AFAIK they are illegal in the EU, and it's a giveaway sign the exhaust is no longer stock

Why don't you run it aft down the center - as a partial wake filler - instead of sideways ?
The pipe going sideways adds drag.

I also don't see how this mod helps, and it seems it could hurt, for the reasons euromodder noted. But can an aft exhaust really fill wake significantly? Seems plausible, I guess. How effective?

Now I "try" to fill the tyre wake. If I run it all the way to back to the car pipe would weight at least 3 kg more, have 4 tight bends more and I dont think I can afford that with my weigth saving target. That is true with current setup it will inrease the drag little bit but I will make it covered so that it will not be in the airstream. Maybe even more extreme version through the hood will come in the later phase. That would only weight 2 kg .

For the illegal part it is allowed to have side exhaust on the left side like I have. Its illegal on the right side or it has more limitations there. Exhaust tip needs to have 50 mm clearance to body which I have. Noise limit is 85 dB and I believe its under that by clear margin. That is at least my knowledge on the subject. Of course the police have their own opinion on the subject, but the noises arent so bad IMO.

My Lupo was missing the stock engine bellypan.

I think that depends on if you are based in a civilised european country (or Ireland, Scotland) or in a place where you are forced to drive on the right I would still put it to the back myself and avoid any attention.

What DRLs did you use ?
