Willie is still kicking:
Quote:
Still Not Dead - Willie Nelson - God's Problem Child
I woke up still not dead again today
The internet said I had passed away
If I died I wasn't dead to stay
And I woke up still not dead again.

Did the spring checkup on two cars and one pickup. All was good except window washer fluid. The oak trees are in their pollen season, so a lot of fluid is being used. Have had to wash both cars twice in the past two weeks and still more pollen comes down. The truck doesn't normally get washed until pollen season is over because it's a work truck.
I'm not looking forward to the wooly worm season (starting this next week). Wooly worms are caterpillars that sting and proliferate down here. The "wooly worm" is actually a caterpillar or the larvae of the Isabella tiger moth. Your useless fact of the month for northerners.

Hmmm did a search for the song I meant https://www.allmusicals.com/lyrics/s...notdeadyet.htm
But I found many songs by different artists and centered around waking up and finding oneself alive (after a DDG search for not dead yet lyrics)
Seems to be a quite common discovery.

Man, that sounds nice. Fantastic memory-making opportunity with your pop. Enjoy.

Caterpillars that sting, eh!? That's news to me.

Best thing today: first time this year sitting outside with the laptop... as I make this very post, in fact.

It should be fun. We originally were going to both fly to LA and both rent Triumph Bonnevilles (I have a BUNCH of unused EagleRider rental credits)
Now he is flying to my house and he will be riding my Piaggio MP3 500. That makes me less nervous as he hasn't been riding for years and is in his 70's now. That also means I can haul all the gear on my BMW R1200RT.

They have "hairs" on their backs that get into your skin and sting/irritate. Not fun at all when they drop from the trees onto your exposed skin. At least the grackles like to eat them.
