"VMAN" was my vanity plate on the Viper, and also the superhero character in Queer as Folk caricaturing the "X-Men" film franchise (whose director, Bryan Singer, had an analogous character on the series whose hit film was "V-Man"). 455 was the engine displacement of my first car, a 1974 Pontiac Grandville that had been sitting behind a neighbor's garage for years.

When I first joined I had a 5-speed 5-cylinder Chevy Colorado. 5speed5 is short hand
for that. Now that I have a 5-spd HHR, I should be 5speed4 which is what I am on the HHR forums.

I just used my name. I might change my car after a few years but I expect to keep my name.
Odd thing is, people don't expect "Pick" to be a name. It used to be fairly common among Czech Jews but the Nazis changed that.
People trying to spell my name after I say it often guess Pike or Pique. Pick is just too simple. Once someone even inserted an "r" in an inappropriate location. I just credited that to their alcohol consumption. They'd just met me and had no reason to treat me badly.

15+ years ago, I bought a 1991 Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 (its a twin turbo car.) So when AOL was still pay by the minute, I made the screen name turbovr41991 and have just used it for everything since.
Oddly enough most people think it relates to a 1991 Mitsubishi galant VR4 which is odd as they only made 3000 Galant VR4's and probably 30000+ 3000gt VR4's. But in the end, they are both rare all wheel drive turbo mitsubishi cars so nor much is lots in translation. lol

Lot's of interesting screen names here.
Runum from my old street racing days. Guys would pull up beside each other and say "Wanna runum?" I always said yes, so Runum seemed natural.
