BTW, in this case, "aerosols" have nothing to do with aerosol spray cans but simply mean particulates in the air.
How bloody condescending you are. Although I know you weren't talking to me, there are a lot of very intelligent and well-educated people on this board that don't fall for that pseudo-science BS you seem to think is "real science".

That crap article you linked to is just political spin masquerading as science, it is not science. And before you tell me I'm just not smart enough to understand it you should know I have a graduate degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering and over 20 years in the environmental and occupational health field.

Next challenger? Challenging you is like beating up children.

I have spent a career measuring particulates in the air using everything from condensation nucleae detectors to laser particle counters, to remote sensing IR back-scattering detectors, and YOU tell ME that it is impossible to measure diesel particulates? You are the dumbest POS I have ever seen.

You picked the wrong forum to be a know-it-all in particle physics, dude. I'm outta here - I'm not going to waste my keyboard on you.

First, I want to apologize to everyone who had to suffer thorough my aggressive rant(s). I can deal with people who disagree with me, I can even deal with people who prefer pseudo-science over science, but when someone directs someone to an article and then says they are probably not smart enough to understand it - I get annoyed. What arrogance.

And BDC - you are mistaken. That was not an ad hominem attack. I was not addressing your position - I was calling you dumb, condescending, and arrogant. All valid points and not ad hominem at all.

You are hoping for the wrong party to be demolished....

BUT.....diapers and politicians should both be changed ftrequently and for the same reasons!

I USED to be a Democrat...then I would finally start to see the entire argument instead of the talking points....a couple of good examples....when Rumsfeld said that you go to war with what you have.....that was a very shrt out tajke from a 15-20 min answer that explained how we were going full blast on armoring our vehicles.....another example was how McCain says we could stay in Iraq for maybe another 100 years....that was a very small out take from how he explained we MIGHT be there like we still are in Germany and Japan. I hate the liberal press.

Did you know that one of McCains sons is there? You never hear that in the news...or how another son is in a military academy and might go there?

You might hear some libs asking why the Bush daughters are not there, but no one asked why Chelsea was never in Bosnia....and Congress never approved that little escapade.

As far as global warming....the signs show that we have been in a global cooling trend for the last few years. The arctic cap might be melting, but the Antarctic has more ice than ever. Now some scientists have found under water volcanes that explain some of the melting...but there is more ice there now than at this time last year.

That is the reason I just stuck him on ignore, I will just leave him alone. He has no idea of my intelligence and I am fine with that. I am not here to argue over a MAJOR problem and be made into a who's right/wrong contest. So have fun DCB and enjoy your life and posts.

And maybe you will learn to use your knowledge for some thing usefull, rather than trying to put others down, by saying Ohh you wouldn't understand anyway. I had the highest score in the state of ohio 2 years straight for the Science proficiency test. But I don't try to say I know everything. I just didn't like the part about you saying to bring smog back like it is some joke. I have a 7 yr. old and would like the world to be better for him and my grandchildren.

nice exchange - lots of neurons fired - but peace prevails ... maybe
but... Wonderworm did throw the grenade in and run

BDC,
did you have to light up everybody left in the room?

politics is a bottomless pit - and no one will leave clean changing diapers

The fact is - Regardless of the party in charge....and their particulates
most Americans buy cars by the pound
+30 K for an SUV is okay but only 15K or less for a small car (unless it is a hot rod)

I went looking at a Vibe
I could not get leather seats and a manual and a small engine
small engine + manual = cheap = no good stuff on board will be offered =
