anti rolling resistance galore!

When you pull into your favorite grocery parking lot in 2nd gear just fast
enough not to rile anybody, then you do figure 8's and so on to USE all
of that energy before final parking as who wants to use the brakes when
not really needed?

This would be a great lesson to show a passenger how lovely something
rolling can go on and on, and always reminds me not to waste in other places.

I'm happy to have returned to a place where I have lived before, where the side roads have a stop sign about every mile, the road is perfect straight,
a faster car from behind can easily be waved by, and its great fun to dial
in the glide point at different speeds going toward the distant stop sign;
so quiet a road inviting the PERFECT glide to the stop sign without ever
touching the brake.

Can life get much better than this?

Okay, so he just trying to avoid having to start off in first gear. But still.

YKYAEI...

... you're slightly disappointed because the replacement vehicle for the one you just sold can only get ~70 mpg (US) / 3.4 L/100 km @ 50 mph / 80 km/h. (And only with its boat tail. Which I now need to re-construct.)

I miss 100 mpg & lean burn. (Sniffle.)

When 80% of the pictures on your camera are of the mpg display on the dashboard.

If you're ever in the northern IN, southern MI area, look me up. You can drive R2-D2 for old times sake.

When tank receipts burn in your pocket, making you look for the first opportunity to log them.

I resemble that!
In other news, I got ~39 mpg last tank without efficient driving in the city nor WAI, plus I used the AC.

Corvette Stingray vs. Ecomodder - Take 1.

You know your an ecomodder if:

-You are riding home on your bicycle with 13 ears of corn attached to your bike when you see a Corvette Stingray oncoming and you stare at the size of the grill openings on either side of the licence plate and think "If they only needed that much airflow on that big V8 back then, how much do we need on our smaller, more efficient, lighter, 4cylinder... man, why didn't I look at the beautiful car or even notice whether the driver was under 65!"

Corvette Stingray! and I'm looking at the bottom of the grill!

“You might be an Ecomodder if….” you have ever changed a 500 amp main fuse in your homebuilt electric car on the side of the road during a thunderstorm.
