I went hunting for this very reason, and found a theory that fuse 39 (IGP) may be the right one to kill the injectors instead. I may go out there an pull it just to find out.

From what I've seen, IGP (ignition power) may also power the ECU in some Hondas.

Yeah, it might. I miss the huge tuning community from when I had my Civic. Details like this are hard to track down with a smaller volume car like ours.

Here's my kill switch, a normally closed momentary contact switch ( like a backwards doorbell ) . got it at menard's for about $4 or so, don't remember.
I followed california98civic's how to - this applies to 96-00 civics here: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...vic-18242.html
I can reach the switch with my hand on the shifter in any gear, and this looks clean enough for me ( my car is a mess ):
Enjoy!!

That's why I got a black button, and why I'm still trying to pick a spot that's convenient and... unobtrusive. And why it's momentary open and not a toggle.
Some things just don't really belong in a family car.

I didn't think it was worth worrying about. Caveat Kill Switchor.

One last question, how did you keep the battery charged with the engine off all the time? I wish regen braking worked with the engine off...

Simple: if you have to brake, leave the engine on or restart it (shifting into any gear restarts it automatically).
Also: I rarely used assist (clutch switch mod), so I didn't drain the battery much.

Here's the switch on my 98 Civic. It's a spring loaded NC switch from a hair blow dryer - the one that turns the heat off for fan only - hence the blue colour.
