I make beer and no there is no more "beer" in an IPA vs an ale (actually less since it's a clear beer). They do use a higher bitter quotient hops, but only because those tended to last the trip to India or Australia by square-rigger. 2 ounces of hops is 2 ounces no matter the IBU.

IPA is a style of ale.

I was being funny by contrasting IPA with cheap lagers that taste like water and have less alcohol content.

My friends like to say they add more leftover grapefruit into it to give it its bitter grapefruit juice taste. lol

I'm not. That is with a 20% tip. (Don't get me started on the stupidity of tipping in the USA)
Fries - $6
Pizza - $20
Beer - $6 x 4
$50
$50 x .2 = $10
Total = $60
That is at a place we visit about once a week. The owner and staff are nice and they have covered outside seating which was VERY helpful in 2020.
You can easily spend $80 at another taproom just down the street for 2 burgers and 4 beers. Good food but no atmosphere and no outside seating.
Great bottle shop though.

Alright, I'm intrigued. What is this pizza/taproom/fries place in PDX?
My wife used to be a weekly regular at Good Neighbor.
I always liked the atmosphere at Teote.

Looks like my kind of place. They opened in 2019, which explains why I've never heard of it.

They have been there a lot longer than 2019 but that would be about the time they switched from being a taproom / restaurant and relaunched as a microbrewery. The owner of the building and restaurant partnered with a brewer and they started brewing their own beer on site.
