Sometimes my car will sorta regen while brakeing, but like won't output as much as it should, and then will just like go into the regular DFCO regen of 4-5 bars.

If that happens you can get it to regen properly again by "overcharging" the battery. By that I mean you use a clutch switch to disable assist, but then turn that off every time you're coming to a stop and get the regen. After a while you'll be at 100% and it won't regen anymore, if you get it that far then regen should start working fully again later after you use some assist.

I think the voltage reading on ScanGauge depends on engine load and current draw.

The first mod has arrived. I started messing with this last night and after a few tries got it right.

My wife thought it looked like a little lama toy...

But, it also fits here real nice.

And then the SG clips into it. I only made one for testing fit so far. I'm currently printing another one as I type this.

No way. For boss mode you velcro it right above the instrument cluster on the dash and wire the cable through the windshield defroster vents.

Why not wear it like a VR headset.

I got the new spark plugs installed last night and took it for a short spin. It seems much better than normal, but it was a short drive. Today I had to run to my uncle's house up the freeway (70 mph) and on the way home I took country roads (45-55 mph). WOW, it is SO much better! Lean burn is now smooth in and out and I can maintain ~75 mpg on the gauge and not have bucking. I'm very excited about this. My mileage has already gone up 1 mpg just from that single trip.

Hey, nice! Mine cleared up after the EGR manifold & valve cleaning. Glad you got it sorted.

Meanwhile I just had one of the worst ever 1 way trips in the Firefly yesterday into headwinds gusting to ~40 mph!

Well, the SG clips work awesome. This is pretty much the exact view you get as the driver.

However, they kind of cover up the very important mpg gauge... Bleh, back to the drawing board. I tried to position it as forward and down as possible. Its literally right in front of where the steering wheel turns, so I can't get it any more out of the way. Where do you guys put your scangauge?

I've heard of people using the change drawer to the left of the steering wheel or one of the panels there for it. I personally don't use one. I have a Bluetooth dongle and old smartphone that I use to monitor intake air and coolant temperature after I make some changes, but for the most part I don't find there's much information on it that I need during typical driving that the FCD doesn't already give.

Does it correctly calculate MPG while in lean burn?

No, I do not believe it does calculate MPG correctly. The SG assumes the engine will be in closed loop running stoichiometric air fuel ratios.

However, I rarely use the SG for tracking MPG in my cars. I used it to monitor other things like coolant temp, engine load, battery current flow (in the Prius) etc. that help me tweak my driving style and better understand the operation of the drivetrain.
