In case you are curious, the car has no mods, the the avg speed is around 40mph, my commute is around uk country roads mainly plus a little bit of city and highway. And lots and lots of gliding with engine on.

No. I haven't even had to pay up yet due to the pandemic. One of the betters just had twins as well so he's been busy.

I'm starting work on my van. Once its done I want to start swapping the Mercury. I'd like to be able to say I got 70 with the stock drivetrain. I might just go leave my Mom's house at like 2 a.m. I find the traffic to be very sparse then.

Having engaged the Weights and Measures authorities of her Imperial Majesty, I beg to inform you that "ale gallons" (a.k.a. Imperial Gallons by 1824 statute) is a considerably greater volume of fuel than wine gallons (a.k.a. Queen Anne gallons by 1707 statute). As the former is the UK standard and this contest is based upon the latter, the older pre-1776 standard, you would need 84 MPG UK to equal 70 MPG US so I cannot add it to the list. Wars have consequences!

However, [ahem!] because this honor has a level of prestige that is self evident, it is also my great honor and pleasure to say here is your prize:

For us, this is actually pretty bad for this time of year. Our fillups in June of 2019 were:
-6/3/19--93.4 MPG
-6/10/19--84.2 MPG
-6/16/19--82.8 MPG
-6/22/19--85.4 MPG
Nice! Have I missed a thread around here about your Metro?

I've given up on the fairly extensive P&G and lower cruising speeds required for me to get those results from my Metro. I just drive with load on the back roads these days (but with plenty of EOC approaching stops/turns, of course) and am satisfied with ~70 MPG tanks. But I do appreciate the motivation to go for the big numbers.

My next fill won't be for another week or 2 since I'm now using the new-to-me Mirage for the full duration of its 2-week temporary permit.

I don't have a build thread for the Metro, per se, but you can find details about the car here: https://ecomodder.com/forum/showthre...mpg-37847.html

66.42 mpg on the last tank puts me at the top of the ecomodder main page list, but is as expected below the 70 mpg mark. Need mods. Working on it. Jigsaw has arrived. Need saw horses. Then I start cutting AlumaCore.
