Piwoslaw, I want a bumper sticker that says, "God is very scientific". There is God as found in the Old and New Testament, there is demonic magic, and there is human ingenuity. We don't always spend the time to discern the difference. It was Fritz Leibner that used the term Conservation of Reality in a short story. I came up with a definition: Reality cannot be created or destroyed by ordinary wishful thinking. I don't regret taking the course in philosophy of science while studying engineering in the 1970's. It has helped me in making Cause and Effect chart in Quality investigations.

The short story is "Try and Change the Past" copyright 1958, found in the anthology "Space, Time, and Crime" edited by Miriam Allen deFord, 1964.

Only if they were all oriented correctly. If they were opposite each other, they'd cancel out each other's magnetism, negating any chance for someone to "tail" the truck.
Chances are, a truck full of magnets would have some sort of mechanism in place to prevent such actions for "safety".

Two magnets of opposite polarity don't tend to work as well when you connect them. Personal observation.
It was also kind of a continuance of the joke in the previous post.

I see that all of this back-and-forth motion about magnetism is causing a few sparks to fly...

I know how to get magnets to help your mileage.
And the science is irrefutable.
get a magnetic bumper and get VERY close to the bumper on the trailer of a semi.
place car in neutral.
Turn off the key.

Even better: get a magnetic bumper. Drive on a metal road. Harness the electricity that is induced to power a motor that drives the car.
Perpetual motion. There, I did it.

I have stated that I don't advocate that magnets change gas, I say that I installed magnets and my milage increased substantially. I would be interested in experimenting with you with the magnets and testing the effects on the vehicle. I'm only 50 miles away, so It may be feasible to coordinate some kind of collaboration. Over the YEARS you have had offers of assistance with legitimate testing which have been completely blown off. And you've had requests for reports from a decent self-done test, and nothing was forthcoming. Now you are interested in "experimenting".
Then one guy says they only work on cars with ECUs; the next guy says they only work with carbs.
I still say they work the best on fridges.
What you need is someone to install a padlock on your car's hood, and they (after receiving proper instruction from you on the magnet-pack install) remove or install them and then you drive it, not knowing if they're in or not, and you make notes on if the car is able to blow away Corvettes and V-Maxes during that test segment or not. The person can take pics of each install so you can't come back later and say they didn't do it right. Will need a bellypan too so you don't crawl underneath the car a 2 a.m. with a flashlight to check.
I love this thread.

Who cares about the magnets? I was thinking about the aero advantage of drafting!
