That is why I asked for help in duplicating the experiment.
I think the fuel is affected to some extent and caused the ECU to go to an economy mode. That's my theory. An engine analyser would need to be hooked up to monitor changes to ECU settings to verify if that is the case.
Other than that I am unable to give any other opinion.

SOOO assuming this did work and you think it caused the ECU to go into an eco mode, Are you saying this could not be duplicated with a car without an ECU and instead it would cause the car to run Lean or Rich?

Domman56, I have not done any experiments with older cars. therefore I cannot assume any benefits. But by the use of deduction, If there is a benefit( which I am assuming) with ECU vehicles than there could be some benefits may not better milage, but possibly with more efficient burning of fuel. If the fuel IS improved and the fuel burns hotter or cleaner, these benifts could add life to engine by less blowby and cantaminents entering the oil.

Just purchased a new Nissan Maxima. I will attempt to do a fuel test.
I will do a full tank test for a few tankfuls and get a base reading, without any magnets then I will install fuel magnets and take reading, then will add magnets on air tube and take readings.
Shortly, we will be going to Florida, so will get a lot of highway miles to test.

MetroMPG, considering my situation, brand new car, taking a trip of 3-4000 miles (with my wife),Going over mountains with first and last tankful, temperature much colder on last tank, using cruise control, mostly flat highway.I will check tire pressure, note any weather changes etc. I will probably be filling tank at each distination point. How would you set this up?
