I imagine false positives could be eliminated with a steering position sensor, which probably already exists with 100% of cars that have some level of active steering.

Would be silly to trigger TPMS because you're spiraling down from a large parking garage. Maybe that's why it's meant to ignore speeds below 25 MPH.

Now that ABS is mandated for all the new cars in my country since 2014, it seems quite strange that in-wheel TPMS sensors are fitted even to entry-level models such as the Chevrolet Onix. On a sidenote, it would eventually also be more suitable for someone willing to use tube-type bias-ply tires in a modern car (I still see it on trucks once in a while).

Speaking Arcimoto, as we were....

https://www.teslarati.com/ev-startup...idles-factory/

I have two thoughts on this:
Firstly, when a ship sinks, it pulls the people in the water down with it. I hope my friends there have an exit ramp.

This means two things for my hope of electrifying the SUPERBeetle. The pieces and parts should be ten cents on the dollar. The people who might help with the software will scatter to the winds.

edit:
Here's the story from the local paper, Willamette Week: www.wweek.com/news/business/2023/01/18/arcimoto-halts-production-as-capital-to-fund-operations-dwindles/

It's not a done deal, only a forward looking statement..

Anyway.... Who, besides Ford, hasn't gone bankrupt?

Not me, yet. I did have a very small position with FUV. Lost that gamble, along with most others the past year.

I was referring to auto manufacturers, one of which I am not.

What car companies have never gone bankrupt? Is it really only ... - Quora
That includes General Motors Company. It was formed after General Motors Corporation went bankrupt, and General Motors Company took over the assets of that former company. In a looser sense, it's fair to say that "General Motors" has gone bankrupt, if you are referring to companies past and present that have operated under that name.
It looks like GM and Chrysler in 2009, but Ford and Tesla have received and paid back government loans.

I may be out a $100 deposit, but I've still got the hat.

'bout time I confused you for a change, with my not-so-funny anecdote.
