The Arcimoto saga just gets weirder. More odd variations that will sell in the single digits.
Still the same problem - trying to sell a doorless trike for the same price as a 4-door car. The Chevy Bolt is the electric delivery vehicle of choice around the Portland Metro. NAPA, Dominos, Chik-Fil-A and others are running fleets of them. They are $20K after incentives - the same price as an Arcimoto.

The MUV actually predates the Deliverator.
The 'upper frame' is [basically] one part. A marginal cost to grow the potential buyer cohort. Agreed the price is too high, but there are those 'incentives'.

Of course, my first thought is pop-top camper. It would hinge at the front of the box and flip out over the front of the vehicle to keep the center of gravity the same.

I'd still not hold my breath for that. Importing a Piaggio Ape and eventually converting to EV still sounds easier actually...

News free interview. The hosts couldn't get past the CEO's appearance.

I may have seen my future FUV. Arcimoto have five flood-damaged FUV waiting on insurance company's procedures. The price sounds negotiable.
Maybe I should get two? One to restore (to an MUV) and one to re-engine the Baja Bug.
The new motto is genius: "The future is fun."

From 0 to 2?
I'll be excited if you get one. I'd have expected them to go to auction.
Question is, what's broken, is it necessary, and can the parts be sourced?

Complete vehicles, caked in mud. I'd settle for the bulkheads and suspension. That would let me sort out the structure.
I told them about Our Audi Etron had a surprise after dumping it in thousands of pounds of rice.
I went with J. Morgan to Vintage Underground and they set up a meeting for when the boss is back from Ventura, CA. They are collaborating with Fellten in the UK where they have EV conversion kits for the Mini, 911 and Land Rover. Vintage Undergrounbd have their own conversion for the Jaguar XKE.
The Mini kit looks like it would go into a Geo Metro, but that's just me.
Meanwhile, back in my little corner of the World, it looks like the FUV battery box is 8" wide, the same as the depth of a VW Beetle front beam extender. And the axle line is 8" forward of the rear bulkhead so the whole suspension and drive train can rest on the Beetle 'tuning fork'. My '58 Baja Bug could look like this:
Just the way I always wanted.
edit: One of the stories Joe Morgan told was that someone (in an FUV) got T-boned by a Ford F-250, came through Okay, and called Joe up and thanked him for insisting on dual seat belts.

There might be plenty of extra space for a larger battery pack, as the Mini has basically the size of a golf cart.

I took the 12v lead-acid battery out of the kid's Power Wheels Jeep and wired in an adaptor for my Ryobi 18v batteries. Top speed went from 5 MPH to 8.
I've got an 18v controller arriving tomorrow so I can put in a variable throttle. My all-in cost (minus Ryobi batteries) will be around $150.
